This lesson is about smoking and smoking bans. This is a topic which most people have strong feelings about so it normally gets people talking. Ireland was the first country to ban smoking completely in all public places in March 04. Scotland banned smoking in public places in March 06 and there is a proposed ban for Wales from April 2007 and England from July 2007. Norway, New Zealand, Italy, Sweden and Spain are amongst other countries that have recently imposed smoking bans.
